Our home, Villa Quatre Saisons, is situated on 1200sq metres of land on the edge of the village of Roussillon. This is a very special and beautiful part of the Luberon Valley. Avignon is 45 kms away where the TGV makes a stop and Marseille Airport (Marignane) is approx. 1 hour away.
In the village there are at least 9 restaurants, 4 bars, a pharmacy, post office, tabac and papershop, butcher, baker, wine merchant and a general store. There are also wonderful galleries displaying both paintings and pottery and speciality gift shops selling lavender products and other products exclusive to the area. There is a tourist shop, where money can be changed and an Automatic Teller Machine.
The house is totally private and secluded and is only 200 metres from the centre of the village. You can experience the pleasure of strolling into the village and enjoying the wonderful views across the valley to Mt Ventoux from the high vantage points available.
There is Hot Air Ballooning, swimming, fishing and boating in Apt. The waters of the Mediterranean are only 1½ hours away with colourful Marseille and the picturesque little coves along the coast (Cassis), wonderful for swimming, boating and enjoying excellent meals sitting outdoors by the water. The daily markets are exciting and fun and biking, hiking etc available throughout the Luberon. |
